Creative Conversations Inc. is a non-profit 501 c (3) organization grounded in the recognition that active engagement in creative expression can be an entry into experiencing growth and transformation. Our purpose is to develop and offer events that support this creative process.

Thus far our primary art form of note has been poetry and story. Creative Conversations Inc. has brought poet and author David Whyte to Annapolis for highly successful events in 2006 and 2008. Future scheduled events include author and poet Mark Nepo (March 26-28, 2010), and cultural anthropologist and author Angeles Arrien (November 5-7, 2010) In addition, we are in conversation with David Whyte planning for his return in 2011.

Values which we embrace for Creative Conversations Inc. include: (1) honoring diversity across the full spectrum of human life and experience, (2) offering availability of our events to all persons who desire participation regardless of social or economic circumstances, (3) a deep respect for the environment, nature and natural processes (4) the avoidance of redundancy by supporting continued learning and growth wherever these experiences take place, both within and beyond our organization.

Creative Conversations Inc. is a voluntary organization without walls. We utilize a wide range of resources in selecting appropriate venues and personnel. Our home area is the greater Baltimore/Washington/Annapolis triangle including the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and our events have drawn people from throughout the United States and Canada.
